Top 10 Makeup Picks!

Hey guys!

This is going to be my first post; I don't really know where I want to take this blog but I thought it would be fun to have a sort of virtual scrapbook of my top makeup and beauty pics. So I hope you guys enjoy this and here it goes!

I thought I would write my first post on my top 10 makeup products that I've been using for a while and really like. These are products that I either found from other reviews that I saw or simply something I decided to pick up at the drugstore just for fun and really liked! My list will include drugstore products and a few high end products. So I hope this is helpful for you guys!

1. Revlon Colorstay Foundation SPF 6
For a long time, I didnt really pay attention to the foundation I used. I mean to be honest, its really not that exciting. But I learned that having smooth perfected skin really adds a whole lot to your overall face look. So after hearing many raves about this foundation, I decided to give it a shot and it was love at first sight! It comes in two different formulas, combination/oily skin and normal/dry skin. This foundation does dry pretty quickly. Now many people debate on what the best tool is to apply this foundation and for me it is quite simple! I use.......drum roll please......my hands! Your hands are the fastest tools to rub it in adequately and evenly before it dries. If I really feel like using a tool here is my alternate method:

I get some round disposable sponges from the drugstore, these are really cheap and you can buy em in bulk. You soak em under the running sink for a good minute until you notice the zie of the sponge increases (water gets absorbed), and then squeeze out excess water. You then pour some foundation onto the sponge and pat it all over your face. Since the sponge already is saturated with water, your foundation wont get absorbed into the sponge and get wasted, and the water traces will give you a smooth application and prevent a cakey look!

2. MAC paint pots

I have 2 as of now, rubenesque and painterly paint pot. These paint pots are a must as a primer or base for any eye shadow
you put on your eyes. You will see a noticeable difference in the color payoff and time that your eye makeup stays fresh, and crease proof. Painterly is a skin tone matte color that can be used under anything and rubenesque has a hint of peach gold that will shine through under your shadow.

3. NYX megashine lipgloss

These lippies are very inexpensive and AMAZING color payoff! They're sticky so the color lasts, but not so sticky where it becomes annoying. Like I said before the color payoff is really good! I was very impressed! They are about 3-5 bucks on cherryculture.com

4. Covergirl LashBlast Mascara

I got this mascara recently and I must say, I am very picky when it comes to mascara! I have super straight thick long eye lashes and getting my eye lashes to look curly and elegant is quite a task. With a quick press from an eye lash curler and a dab of this mascara I immediately have the results I want! 7-10 bucks!

5. NARS blush in orgasm
While this blush is on the steeper side in terms of price. (about $28), it is a must-have investment. It is like a peachy pink color with tiny glitters that give you a beautiful healthy glow. It will last you forever, as you can see it's huge! It looks good on all skin tones!

6. Palladio baked bronzer in illuminating tan

This bronzer you can get at Sally Beauty Supplies and it is such a pretty bronzy gold color. It has tiny glitters in it that give you the perfect glow for a summer day. Pop some on the apples of your cheeks for that gorgeous dewy glow! $10

7. Urban Decay Book of Shadows II
This palette was my first urban decay purchase and I absolutely love this palette! Not only do you get to test out the 24/7 eye liners and primer potion samples it comes with, but the colors are all absolutely gorgeous. Great color payoff and for about $36 bucks it is a great deal. All 16 shadows are however, a bit on the shiny/ glittery side so beware of that. For party looks it is the perfect palette and all you need to get ready. For a more everyday look, not so much.

8. Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipsticks

These lipsticks are super moisturizing! They do have that typical lipstick smell so keep that in mind. The colors are really pretty. $6-7

9. MAC fluidline in blacktrack
This is a must-have!!! You will never achieve the same preciseness with a pencil or liquid. The color is so black and the staying power is incredible!! Yeah, it takes practice getting used to a gel eyeliner, but the results you get compared to pencils or liquids just doesnt match up! For me, the best brush to use with it is the sonia kashuk angled liner brush from target for like 5 bucks. Plus it comes in other cool colors from MAC! $15 but it lasts you forever! I've had mine for like at least 2 years and I havent even hit the bottom yet.

10. Palladio tinted lip balm

This is lip balm has the most amazing color payoff! Keeps your lips nice and moisturized with a hint of just the right amount of color to waken up your face! $4 at sally beauty supplies and comes in a variety of colors!

I must say it was pretty difficult only picking 10 items! There's so much more to say! If you guys have any questions feel free to leave some comments! Take Care!

Love, A
